The six part mini-series, directed by Oscar winner Ms Campion (The Piano) and Garth Davis, and written by Ms Campion and Gerard Lee, is about the disappearance of a pregnant 12 year old, Tui, last seen standing chest deep in a frozen lake.
The investigating detective Robin Griffin, played by Screen Actors Guild winner Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, On The Road), encounters Tui’s father, a local drug lord, played by British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) nominee Peter Mullan (Trainspotting, War Horse), and other characters as she loses herself to find the missing Tui, BBC Worldwide said.
Set in New Zealand it also stars Oscar winner Holly Hunter (The Piano) and Australia Film Institute winner David Wenham (Faramir in The Lord of the Rings).
