The Brandfit department aims to offer more than just cinema adverts, such as product samples and adverts in cinema foyers, shopping mallsand the like.
The move brings Val Morgan New Zealand into line with Australia.
Brandfit has been launched after the return from maternity leave of Natasha O’Connor, Val Morgan sales director and the promotion of Suzie Hood to strategy director, Brandfit. She filled Mrs O’Connor’s role while she was away.
Ms Hood’s responsibilities include working with agency planners, strategists and movie distributors on a range of advertising options.
“Cinema is an ideal environment for brands, delivering captivated audiences, unrivalled impact and engagement,” Mrs O’Connor says.
In a further expansion of the sales team, Craig Franklin has been appointed senior account manager.
He returns from 3½ years in Melbourne, where he worked in senior roles at ACP and Arrow Internet Marketing. His experience in Auckland includes a number of years working at Sky Television and Prime TV.
The Val Morgan Cinema Network, which supplies screen advertising to more than 340 screens nationwide, says cinema box office is 12% up on a year ago.
