Drone footage posted by the BBC (scroll down) shows thousands of migrants walking to the Austrian border after Hungarian authorities blocked them from taking trains.
They set off on the 160 km journey from a Budapest train station on Friday.
As night fell, Hungary eventually sent buses to pick them up and drive them to the border.
