Two new directors have been appointed to the TVNZ board and Sir John Anderson will continue as chairman.
Professional company director Wayne Walden and business consultant Alison Gerry have been appointed to the board of Television New Zealand.
Broadcasting Minister Jonathan Coleman also confirmed that Sir John Anderson, who was appointed chairman in 2006, has been retained as chairman for another year from May 1.
Mr Walden and Ms Gerry have both been appointed for three years and will replace outgoing board members June McCabe and Bryan Gould.
Mr Walden was the managing director of the Farmers Deka retail chain and was chairman of Tranzrail and also served as chairman of Maori Television from 2003 to 2007.
He is currently a director at Maori Television but will resign from that position before joining the TVNZ board on May 1.
Ms Gerry, a Kiwibank director, specialises in financial management and before establishing her own business, was group treasurer for Lion Nathan in Sydney.
