The airport, owned by Infratil and Wellington City Council, said revenue from its retail and vehicle operations rose and its advertising subsidiary iSite Ltd expanded.
Overall, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortisation and fair value adjustments and excluding subvention payments were $72.3m, up $4.1m on the previous year.
Total revenue rose 9.7 percent to $114.7m.
"Looking forward, current forecasts indicate improved conditions for the current financial year. A gradual economic recovery and the Rugby World Cup 2011 are expected to bolster demand and airline service and capacity indications provide a basis for expectations of passenger growth," the airport company said.
