A tale of unfortunate ad placement.

It can happen to the best of them - even the nation's favourite business website.

We're talking about when an ad is served that's a little inappropriate for a story - or, in this case a little too appropriate.

Auckland volunteer worker Gavin Ogden visited NBR yesterday to read the breaking-news story on the bomb scare at Parliament - only to be confronted with an image of what looked like Parliament Building in flames (see the screen shot above that Mr Ogden was kind enough to capture; click here to see a high rez version).

In fact, as he soon twigged, the image was part of QBE's "IT happens" campaign.

NBR is still accessing how much extra to charge QBE for this high-impact, added-value profile, and the Amplified Social Engagement of the subsequent Twitter exposure.
