Family-owned wine company merges with boutique winery

Wine is an addictive but also increasingly tough business for small to medium players like Marlborough Wine Limited (MWL), which the Auckland-based Joyce family runs.

In August, MWL announced that it had merged with boutique winery Staete Landt Wines, owned by Dutch immigrant Ruud Maasdam.
