The content director for The Radio Network station ZM has quit after 13 years.

Christian Boston has resigned and will leave TRN on November 18 to become network programme director for MediaWork's More FM.

The change means ZM Daytime announcer Sarah Gandy has been promoted to the ZM content director role.

TRN has also created a group content director role for ZM, Flava and Hauraki, promoting Hauraki content director Mike McClung.

TRN chief executive Jane Hastings says Mr McClung will focus on youth as it needs a dedicated resource.

Ms Hastings said which station popular duo Carl Fletcher and Vaughan Smith will join is yet to be confirmed.

The duo are on gardening leave and will not start at TRN until the second quarter of next year.
