A $24 million main national distribution centre is to be built for Super Cheap Auto at Goodman Property Trust's Savill Link industrial estate in Otahuhu.
Trust manager Goodman (NZ) said the 20,530sq m warehouse and office facility was due to be finished next April.
It was Goodman's largest design build project in Auckland since the Linfox warehouse was completed at Westney Industry Park, Mangere in 2006.
Super Cheap was relocating from its existing 7800sq m facility at Goodman's Westney Industry Park in Mangere. It had a 10-year lease for the new facility, with a fixed annual review structure and three rights of renewal of five years each.
In another development for the trust, Port of Tauranga-controlled Metropack had leased a further 2300sq m at Gateside Industry Park in Penrose, taking its total to 5800sq m
