Terry Serepisos' Century City Football has paid off its ACC arrears, sending a cheque for $260,000 to clear the debt.
Laurie Edwards, ACC's sponsorship and communications manager, confirmed to NBR the government agency had received the money and that it covered all amounts owing.
He said ACC would drop its court action to recover the money.
Earlier, ahead of a press conference, NBR was told besieged property developer Terry Serepisos had dispatched a courier to ACC bearing a cheque for $260,000.
ACC had earlier filed liquidation papers for Century City Football, the entity controlling the Phoenix, over unpaid levies for its soccer players.
A press conference held in Wellington to address the matter has just concluded and was hosted by Brett Whyte. Mr Whyte, an accountant, is understood to have been commissioned by Mr Serepisos and Century City Football to look into the matter of unpaid levies.
