ACT selects candidate for Botany
Counties-Manukau District Health Board member Lyn Murphy will stand as the ACT Party's candidate in next month's Botany by-election.
Counties-Manukau District Health Board member Lyn Murphy will stand as the ACT Party's candidate in next month's Botany by-election.
ACT Party president Chris Simmons said Ms Murphy was a strong advocate of greater transparency and smaller Government.
She would campaign on the economy, in particular government spending and waste.
Ms Murphy is doing a PhD on the costs and benefits of medical research. She is a senior lecturer in management at Manukau Institute of Technology.
