Agency bcg² chalks up an ex-Ogilvy win

Mon, 13 Dec 2010

Ad agency bcg² has won the Esquires Coffee Houses business, adding the account to its stable which includes the likes of Audi, GE Money, Lion Nathan and Sara Lee.

Esquires has been flying solo for the past year or so after parting ways with its previous agency Ogilvy.

Esquires CEO Lewis Deeks said bcg² is the perfect partner to help the business continue its growth, particularly as it has international connections – as does the coffee outfit.

Esquires’ New Zealand shareholders purchased the rights to expand the brand outside North America and drove its expansion into Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Fiji and China.

Agency CEO and ECD James Blackwood said he’s chuffed to be working with Esquires.

The appointment is both local and international.

“Esquires is a great fit with bcg²’s vision of being an independently minded New Zealand business, with world class aspirations.”

The agency’s first port of call for Esquires will be the relaunch of its loyalty programme.
