Mr Fyfe increased his shareholding in the company by 282,292 shares, by exercising 379,403 options (that had to be exercised before September 2011) and funding that purchase through a combination of cash and the sale of 97,111 of those exercised shares.
An announcement to NZX today, as part of regular disclosure, showed Mr Fyfe's family trust sold 92,481 shares for $104,503 over the last three days of June. The shares were part of his long-term incentive pay scheme and he bought them in 2006 for 67c a share realising a profit of $42,540, the announcement said.
Mr Fyfe has over one million shares in the company. Air New Zealand shares closed today at $1.12 each.
