Good news for media sector

Court’s rejection of merger opens way for necessary change in strategy.

After two and a half years of effort, conferences, court hearings, appeal hearings and copious submissions, media companies Stuff and NZME have had their merger hopes dashed in court again.

Hooray.

The Appeal Court’s ruling this week is unambiguously good news for the New Zealand media
