UPDATED 5.55pm:  An Air New Zealand spokeswoman told NBR:

"Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

"Our team are currently unblocking the website."

Now, where's Rod's visual voice mail ...

TUESDAY 4PM: As a chief executive of Xero, co-founder of Pacific Fibre, and a director of the NZX, Rod Dury can often be found networking online.

But not so when in Air New Zealand's Koru Lounge.

When the entrepreneur tried to log-on to business networking site LinkedIn this morning, he was blocked by the Websense software used to wrangle Koru Lounge connections.

Again.

"It always amuses me that LinkedIn is sort of blocked in Koru club when its lounge is the real world version of LinkedIn," quipped Mr Drury.

And here we were thinking that Air New Zealand was the airline that "got" social media.

We await a response.

BELOW, via Websense, the Koru Lounge takes a tough line on LinkedIn, the global business networking site used by around 250,000 New Zealanders (screen shot courtesy Rod Drury; click to zoom):
