In a press release the Green Party announced they would run a hip hop tours of universities to publicise environmental and social justice issues.
One of the goals was to change the party's morris dancing image.
Green Party MP Gareth Hughes, aka G-Roar, co-leader Russel Norman, Rad, and David Clendon LL Cool D (ladies love cool David) broke out rhymes.
"I'm the Rad, I'm red, and I'm really, really bad, my steps are so quick, my steps are so fast. My hair is ginger, I'm a bit like a ninja," was Dr Norman's line.
That was followed by another release about the discovery of the Laws of Thermodynamics (Repeal) Bill in the name of ACT MP Hilary Calvert. Clearly a joke about that's party's denial of climate change.
Right wing blogger David Farrar caused a few early morning calls when he wrote that he had it on good authority that Judith Tizard would take Darren Hughes spot in Parliament to give her valedictory speech before stepping aside for another MP.
