UPDATE: NBR finally regained access to its ASB business account on Wednesday morning, a day after an outage hit (see below). The bank ended up having to liaise with NBR's IT contractor. ASB's operations manager said it would cover the charges.
EARLIER: ASB Bank says a glitch that took its Mobile, FastNet and some business banking services offline from around 8am this morning has been resolved.
Anyone still having problems with their logon should clear their web browser's cache and try again, the bank says. (Readers can clear their browser's cache, or temporary storage, through its settings menu, typically found on the top right. Note this process will also delete saved logons to other sites.)
However, a couple of NBR staff have tried clearing their cache and cookies, but to no effect. NBR's business account is also inaccessible.
And on ASB's Facebook page, a number of people are complaining the glitch is not resolved for them, either.
The bank has yet to comment on the cause of the outage, but has said it has worked with ISPs to resolve it. A fix took several hours to roll out because each ISP had to validate it, a spokeswoman said.
