ASB sings Droga5's praises in a post-Goldstein world

Fri, 12 Nov 2010

ASB marketing head Deborah Simpson may be a former employee of TBWA, but she’s not hesitating in singing the praises of her new agency partner Droga5.

As the bank’s full relaunch starts today (see today’s print NBR for the full story), Ms Simpson spoke positively of the agency’s work.

“I'm absolutely chuffed but most importantly, our staff love it and are buzzing,” Ms Simpson told NBR.

“They feel it's captured the essence of ASB and has given them a reason to celebrate what they do all day, everyday – helping create futures.”

Ms Simpson said she’s been busy doing a staff roadshow of the new look, with around 2000 staff having seen it this week.

“I've been overwhelmed by the response. Full credit to Droga.”

Around 80 people have been involved in the construction of the campaign.

“Through co-creation our staff have been involved in the birth of the campaign. Droga have lived and breathed our business since winning the account.

“Their passion, commitment and drive are legendary. The campaign is the most comprehensive I've seen – and coming from advertising I've seen a few.

“I couldn't wish for a better partner.”

Check out a few examples of Droga5’s new look for ASB below.

What do you think?

Do you miss Goldstein?
Do you like the cheery flower on the homepage?
Do you wish ATMs had hands?

ASB is the first bank to offer an IVF package. Babies babies babies!

Wot? You mean Lotto isn't a viable retirement plan?

Imagine an ATM with hands. Could be dangerous.

And long walks along the beach, and dinners by candlelight...

Hello! Bit friendlier than old Goldstein?

Awwww, bless. So do you, ASB!

But only on the elbow.
