Aussie scam losses are decreasing

While the losses from scams appear to have turned a corner, Aussie monetary losses are 2.4x that of Kiwis on a per capita basis.

Aussies lost A$5,200 a minute to scammers last year, amounting to A$2.74 billion for the financial year.

The good news, however, is that this was an 11.6% decrease from 2022 when a total of A$3.1 billion was lost.
