Borders tries, fails to cash in on Moon Man phenomenon

Mon, 21 Mar 2011

So I visited Borders, where where there were giant fans on the ground floor. These guys just can't cut a break.

Anyhow, in the science/astronomy section, which I was visiting in an effort to compare real-life book prices to e-book prices*, someone had gone to the trouble of facing-out Ken Ring's Almanac - and included it on a table display nearby.

One problem: it was the 2010 edition - requiring customers to believe in both the Moon Man, and time travel. That's pushing it, even for the NBR Comments crew.

* Futile; there simply weren't any "real" book versions of the e-books I'd bought over Amazon.
