Brash bows out of television Waitangi debate
Act leader Don Brash has pulled out of a debate on the Treaty of Waitangi planned by TV3's political show The Nation.

Dr Brash had indicated he would be appearing and on Wednesday mornin, his office asked for editorial details about the debate.
They said they needed them for debate training for Dr Brash that afternoon but, after being provided with the information, then sent an email saying he was no longer available.
Act's Epsom candidate John Banks appeared on The Nation on Saturday and was asked why Dr Brash was suddenly unwilling to appear on the programme to talk about Waitangi.
His response was that the party should be talking about Maori unemployment in Northland.
