ComCom coy on retirement village contract declaration
Consumer NZ and the Retirement Village Residents Association called on the Commerce Commission earlier this year to seek a court declaration on alleged unfair contracts.
Retirement village operator Metlifecare has said it will cover costs of repairs for all residents, but it is not clear if the Commerce Commission will seek a court ruling to determine if some conditions in retirement village contracts are unfair.
