Ngāi Tahu posts turnaround record $240m profit

The iwi investment arm cut costs and benefited from property valaution gains.

South Island Iwi investment arm Ngāi Tahu Holdings returned to the black in the year ended June 30, posting a $240 million profit, a turnaround on a significant loss in the previous financial year.

The iwi posted a $25.6m loss in the 2020 financial year, driven by exposure to tourism businesses
