Services activity bumps up in May but manufacturing stalls
A buildup of inventory reflects slowing demand for goods and services.

Activity in the services sector bumped up in May and declined in manufacturing.
However, both of the BNZ-BusinessNZ performance indexes are still running below their long-term averages, indicating the economy is having traction problems.
