West Coast miner to appeal $60m judgment

Court rules on payments for Escarpment mine.

ASX-listed mining company Bathurst Resources says it will appeal a High Court ruling ordering it to pay $US40 million ($60m) to Belize-registered L&M Coal Holdings.

The money relates to the Escarpment mine on New Zealand’s West Coast, bought by Bathurst from L&M in 2010.
