 "Since when did Google start serving up R18 sex ads? " New Zealand Computer Society chief executive Paul Matthews asked on Twitter today.

Mr Matthews was searching for a details of a school, using the phrase "Christchurch girls", when the search engine served him the following (click to enlarge):

Beyond the question of inappropriate adult content, Symantec SMB sales director Steve Martin told NBR that, increasingly, internet fraudsters are buying Google Ad words, and using them to lure victims to malware sites.

So be careful what search results you click on.
