Dairy commodity prices rose a further 1.2% in Fonterra’s latest online auction with milk powder prices up 14.5% on the last auction two week’s ago.
Dairy commodity prices rose a further 1.2% in Fonterra’s latest online auction with milk powder prices up 14.5% on the last auction two week’s ago.
The average price for anhydrous milk fat, butter milk powder, skim milk powder and whole milk powder was $US3,960 per tonne.
This morning’s gains follow a 7.1% rise at the last auction, pushed up a 20.6% increase in butter milk powder prices.
The latest auction comes after prices of New Zealand commodities climbed 2% in December, based on the ANZ Commodity Price Index, which reached a record high in its fourth monthly advance.
