DDB NZ has made a raft of changes among its senior ranks.

As tipped by NBR ONLINE last week, OMD managing director Chris Riley will move to DDB in a new chief operating officer role. He will report to Justin Mowday, who has been promoted from managing director to chief executive.

Current DDB chief executive Sandy Moore will step down from his role. Mr Moore, who has been with DDB for 23 years, has decided to cut down his hours.

DDB executive chairman for Australia/NZ Martin O’Halloran says Mr Moore will remain a director and be actively engaged in the business.

It is proposed Messrs Riley and Mowday take shareholdings in the company over the next few years.

Meanwhile, at OMD managing partner Andrew Reinholds will move into a client service focused role, with the support of comms planner Rebecca Bradley.

OMD chief executive Kath Watson says she is glad the next stage of Mr Riley’s careers is within the Omnicom family.

“We have a strong working relationship with DDB through our shared client base, which will only be further strengthened with this move.”

Mr Riley is expected to help grow DDB’s activation, PR, shopper marketing and digital offerings.
