DDT tests under way at Opuha irrigation dam

Environment Canterbury is testing more sites near the Opuha Dam for DDT contamination.

Environment Canterbury is carrying out more DDT tests on the irrigation lobby’s poster boy Opuha Dam near Fairlie in South Canterbury.

The water from the dam is used to irrigate 16,000ha and Timaru obtains some town drinking water supplies from it.
