Software company Diligent Board Member Services continues to reach new heights reporting second quarter sales up 91% to $US3.67 million reflecting increasing acceptance of its iPad application.
Diligent said annualised licence fee income from its boardbooks product increased by $US2.9 million or 326% in the quarter taking cumulative booking fees to $US14.9 million ($17.8 million).
Investors reacted positively to the news, sending the shares up 19c, to $1.44 in opening trading on the NZX. That followed a 4.2% jump yesterday.
“The increasing acceptance of the Apple iPad in executive suites around theworld has continued to be a key driver of the company’s exceptional sales growth,”
Diligent said in a statement.During the second quarter Diligent said it signed a total of 133 new licenses compared to 36 in the same quarter last year.
The company said it now has 653 public and private companies under contract, and services more than 1000 boards and 16,500 users.
Sign ups included 104 Fortune 1000 companies. During the quarter Diligent hired six new account managers and two supportstaff to keep up with sales growth.
