Direct Capital, a private equity investor, has become a minority shareholder in real estate company Bayley Corp, which operates the Bayleys chain.
Bayleys did not disclose the size of the holding or the how much money was raised. Direct Capital managing director Ross George will join the Bayley Corp board. The majority of the company remains in Bayley family ownership.
Direct Capital was established in 1994. It remains managed and owned by its three founding directors Mr George, Mark Hutton and Bill Kermode. The company has raised seven funds since it began, which have a total of $440 million available for investment, according to its website.
