Kim Dotcom's legal team weighs options after ruling.
A senior member of Kim Dotcom's legal team has poured cold water on a Radio New Zealand report that Kim Dotcom could sue the Crown.
On March 16, Justice Judith Potter ruled that the seizure of Kim Dotcom's assets following the January 20 police raid on Chrisco Mansion was "null and void", due to a procedural blunder with a legal order - retrospectively fixed in new papers filed by the Crown on January 30.
This morning, RNZ said Simpson Grierson partner Willy Akel was assessing options for his client, in particular whether to pursue a claim for a breach of the Bill of Rights, with regard to the unlawful seizure of property.
Speaking to NBR later, Mr Akel said Dotcom's legal team was considering all of its options, but said suing the Crown was "not an immediate possibility. There's nothing in the pipeline."
