RBNZ hits ‘go’ on another OCR hike

The Monetary Policy Committee voted five-two in favour of jumping an extra 25bp to 5.5% today.

The Reserve Bank has hiked the official cash rate to a new high of 5.5%, as widely expected.

After a vote today, the Monetary Policy Committee agreed five votes to two, to increase the OCR by 25 basis points, after considering whether to pause, or increase interest rates.
