New Zealand has retained its third place in the 2016 Index of Economic Freedom and is among just five countries rated as “free.”
This is defined as a score of 80 and above. Hong Kong also retained its first place (88.6 points), ahead of Singapore (87.8). Switzerland (81.0) moved up to fourth,
