The country's largest employers association has appointed a new chief executive to replace the disgraced Alasdair Thompson.
Kim Campbell will take up the role at the Employers and Manufacturers Association (EMA) on Monday.
His predecessor Mr Thompson was dismissed in July after controversial comments about gender pay equity sparked public outcry and calls for his resignation.
EMA president Graham Mountfort said Mr Campbell was a former director of the EMA and his appointment followed an international search.
Mr Campbell has recently returned from the Philippines where he was executive chairman of pharmaceuticals manufacturer Pharma Industries Incorporated -- employer of more than 1700 people.
Previous roles included chief executive of Soul Pattinson Manufacturing in Sydney - part of the API group and Zuellig Equipment Distribution Incorporated which included CB Norwood in New Zealand.
He is a former director of the EMA, past president of the Export Institute (now Export New Zealand) and a founding director of the former Auckland Regional Economic Development Strategy Board.
Mr Mountfort said Mr Campbell was extremely well qualified to lead EMA.
"It's a coup for us and New Zealand business to have someone of his international experience head up our organisation."
