Employment law changes that Labour and the unions have been fighting for months will almost certainly be passed by Parliament today.
The Employment Relations Amendment Bill (No 2) extends the 90-day trial period to all businesses.
Currently it applies to those with 20 or fewer employees, and Labour calls it the "fire at will" law.
The Holidays Amendment Bill allows employees to trade in their fourth week of leave for cash.
Employers can't make them, and can't even suggest it, but opponents say workers will come under pressure to give up a week of their leave.
Both bills are due to have their third readings today and the Government has a majority to get them passed into law.
