Euro manufacturers launch diesel buy-back schemes
Signs of panic in Europe where diesel sales have traditionally been strong.
Volkswagen AG and BMW AG have both announced diesel buy-back schemes for owners of older diesel models from their respective lines.
Announced during the last fortnight, Volkswagen initially instigated the buy-back programme in Germany but this has been extended to the UK. BMW followed suit,
