Former rich lister Bill Birnie has put his 600ha Bay of Islands coastal land section on the market through a company that targets American and other overseas investors as well as local buyers.
The property has 7.5km of coastal land with two homes on it including one main house with an infinity pool and views to the beaches below, with a second house for guests.
A tennis court and “horse arena” are among the property’s features.
Estimated to be worth around $20 million, it is advertised by Luxury Real Estate as being for tender as a whole with offers for “various subsections” also considered.
Mr Birnie was valued at $100 million on the 2009 Rich List but was taken off this year due to his well publicised financial troubles as he faced a $19 million damages court case against him.
