Ferrier boosts Orion expansion
The former Fonterra CEO has joined Orion Health as a director and investor.
Andrew Ferrier has joined Orion Health as a director and investor.
Mr. Ferrier will take a significant stake in the business through his family investment company, Canz Capital. He stepped down as chief executive of Fonterra in September.
He said he was attracted to Orion Health for its growth potential; it was one of the few New Zealand companies capable of scaling to become a true multinational.
Orion Health recorded a 30% increase in operating revenue for the first six months of the 2012 financial year. Its global operations are also expanding – it recently won large electronic healthcare system contracts in Australia, Singapore and the US.
