FMA warns Kiwis about online scams

Market watchdog gets about 1000 complaints a year.

The Financial Markets Authority gets about 1000 complaints a year, many of them from Kiwis who have lost their savings in overseas investment scams. But it’s not just the financially unsavvy who are losing their cash.

About a third of the complaints received – which averages about one a day –
