Leader Phil Goff has demoted Shane Jones and Chris Carter from the Labour Party front bench for their unacceptable credit card spending when they were ministers.
Jones, ranked 11th, was stripped of his environment and economic development portfolios, and demoted.
Carter lost his foreign affairs portfolio, and was moved off the front benches.
Mita Ririnui, ranked 23, lost his forestry portfolio, after putting golf clubs and a bike on his ministerial credit card.
Mr Goff, who was in China when documents detailing seven years of ministerial credit card spending were released under the Official Information Act last Thursday, made the announcements today after speaking to senior party members and those in question.
All three MPs were shown to have spent taxpayer money on items not covered under the rules, later making refunds from their own accounts.
Mr Jones admitted putting hotel porn videos on his card.
