Bcg2 has won the Fletcher Auminium account and expects to announce more next week.

The Auckland-based advertising agency has also just taken on three people in its digital department, giving the company 28 staff overall.

Bcg2 managing director Michael Jarvis says the account covers full strategy and creative work across the company brands, including Fisher Aluminium, Rylock, Nebulite, Vistalite and Oakley.

“We have some big plans for these guys,” Mr Jarvis told NBR online.

These would include campaigns across multiple channels, such as TV, radio and the internet, but these were not expected to start until the second half of the year.

On winning the tender, a media statement focused on what it saw as the quality of Fletcher Aluminium products and the needs of architects and others in the building trade.

Mr Jarvis says this latest win is significant for his business, following at least a dozen others in the past 12 months.

Two other wins, a trans-Tasman account and a local New Zealand contract, are set to be announced later this month.

“We have had a really good run of new business recently. We are certainly hiring. We have hired senior people. We do have capacity in our existing portfolio. We are growing digital and have put three people on. We are certainly gearing up,” he said.

Key Bcg2 clients include Audi NZ, Lion Nathan NZ, Sara Lee NZ, Manukau Institute of Technology, King of Tonga Tourism, Jester’s Pies NZ, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Pfizer NZ and Canon NZ.

Fletcher Aluminium declined to say who previously held their account.

“They [Bcg2] have certainly impressed us in the pitch process,” general manager Lou Cadman said.

“We are headed for new and exciting territory. They have the right credibility and a lot of talented people. They have been passionate and enthusiastic [about us],” he said.

Mr Cadman also declined to say any more about how Bcg2 might change his company’s campaigning, apart from adding the company was changing too, and this would be reflected in the new campaigns.
