Not unexpectedly, ACC board members and chief executive Ralph Stewart are expected to be blamed today over the Bronwyn Pullar affair.
Reports by the Office of the Auditor-General and a privacy review will be publicly released this afternoon.
ACC Minister Judith Collins has already issued a statement welcoming the review of ACC’s privacy and information security and the Auditor-General’s inquiry into aspects of board-level governance.
As expected, and has already been reported, the inadvertent release of personal details of 6748 ACC clients to claimant Ms Pullar last year was a genuine human error.
Steps are already said to be under way to tighten privacy and information security at ACC.
In a separate inquiry, the Auditor-General is expected to blame senior board members for alleged conflict of interest failures in dealing with Ms Pullar.
Ms Collins removed ACC board chairman John Judge and board members John McCliskie and Rob Campbell earlier this year.
Board member Murray Hinder then resigned, as did ceo Mr Stewart, leaving ACC devoid of top-level commercial experience.
