The name of independent MP Hone Harawira's new party is up for public debate, with the Electoral Commission calling for submissions today.
The name of independent MP Hone Harawira's new party is up for public debate, with the Electoral Commission calling for submissions today.
The commission is considering an application to register the Mana political party, and said anyone wishing to comment on the name should make their submission by June 8.
Registration may be refused if the name is indecent, offensive, excessively long, likely to cause confusion or mislead electors, or contains any reference to a title or honour or similar form of identification.
