United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's plane has touched down at Wellington Airport.
Mrs Clinton is in New Zealand as part of her tour of Asia and the Pacific.
She will meet today with Prime Minister John Key and other government ministers for top level talks before being guest of honour at a BBQ hosted by Mr Key in Wellington tonight.
She will fly to Christchurch tomorrow to survey earthquake damage.
She arrived just after 7am today at the airport's military terminal amid heavy security.
Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully, Wellington Mayor Celia Wade-Brown, New Zealand ambassador to Washington Mike Moore and American ambassador David Huebner were there to welcome her before she was whisked away to her hotel.
