Holmes Consulting announces Hamish Nevile as new chief executive
Nevile first started with Holmes Consulting in 1994, and then after several years of experience working internationally, returned to the Holmes fold in 2006.

Hamish Nevile is to be the new chief executive of structural and civil engineering firm, Holmes Consulting, effective from the beginning of 2018.
As CEO designate for the remainder of 2017, Nevile will work closely with current chief executive, Bruce Black, assuming full responsibilities next January. Black has led Holmes Consulting through the strongest period in the company’s 60-year history, growing the firm from 80 to 175 people in his 17-year tenure as chief executive. Black will continue to make a major contribution as an executive director of Holmes Consulting, helping drive the growth and development of the business for years to come.
Nevile first started with Holmes Consulting in 1994, and then after several years of experience working internationally, returned to the Holmes fold in 2006. Nevile has served as the Holmes Consulting Auckland business manager for more than a decade, and he is also a member of the Holmes Consulting and Holmes Group boards.
As part of the firm’s executive management group, Nevile has guided the 60-strong Auckland office to a series of record financial results, delivering strong growth and strategic expansion in local and national markets. Nevile has established excellent networks of clients, architects and partners nationally and internationally, having worked on projects across New Zealand, Asia, the USA and Europe.
