Inflation forecasts low, but deflation fears ‘misguided’

ANZ inflation data shows few price increases in December.

Inflation remained at rock bottom levels in December, but the likelihood of the economy falling into deflation is low.

The latest inflation data from ANZ suggests there was just a 0.2% inflation increase in December. This follows a 0.2% increase in November and a 0.1% increase in October.
