Veolia taps developers for $87m, Watercare spends it elsewhere
Developers are being told growth charges are treated differently from development contributions.
Watercare is using growth fees from Papakura for larger infrastructural projects.
Watercare says it collected $87.4 million in infrastructure growth charges (IGC) from Veolia over the past six years but used that money to help pay for ‘bulk’ projects outside the Papakura district in South Auckland.
