Casino operator SkyCity largely deflected questions from analysts on a conference call to discuss pending legal action by the Department of Internal Affairs, with chief executive Michael Ahearne repeatedly saying it would not be “appropriate” to provide answers.

Shares in SkyCity fell 8c or 3.8%
