Genesis announces $400m capital raise
Details of discounted placement and rights issue come with record half-year profit.

Electricity generator and retailer Genesis Energy has followed its competitor Contact in announcing record half-year profits and a capital raise to reduce net debt.
In a statement to the NZX, Genesis said it will raise $400 million through a $100m placement to institutions and a $300m pro rata
